After injuring my shoulder in 2025, I wasn't able to weave using basketry materials. What I could do was stitch. So, I created a sampler of various types of stitching using scraps of fabric and embroidery floss. The sampler became a journal where each page represents a monthly observation of nature. The seasonal changes of weather and plants noticed on my daily hikes through the hills of my hometown are captured in this 2025 stitch sampler.
